BANANA COFFEE CAKE

1. It's dense, but moist & fluffy. 2. The cake has buttery, crumb topping. 3. The center is filled with cinnamon & brown sugar swirl.

THE INGREDIENTS

- White & brown sugar - Cinnamon - Flour - Salt - Butter - Cornstarch - Baking powder - Bananas - Vanilla - Eggs - Sour cream - Whole milk

01 CINNAMON SWIRL

1. First, add the brown sugar to a small bowl. 2. Then, sprinkle the cinnamon over the sugar. 3. Whisk until everything is combined & clump-free.

02 CRUMB TOPPING

Next, combine the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, & melted butter until you have a thick crumb for the topping. Set aside for later.

03 BROWN BUTTER

1. Add the butter to a sauce pan. 2. Melt, cook, & swirl until the butter is brown. 3. Let it cool for a few minutes and then make the banana batter.

04 BANANA BATTER

1. Add the sugars, eggs, vanilla, sour cream, & bananas to the brown butter. 2. Then, add half of the dry ingredients & milk. 3. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

05 ASSEMBLE & BAKE

Layer half of the batter followed by the cinnamon sugar. Add the rest of the batter, swirl, and sprinkle the streusel over the top of the batter. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

SERVE THIS CAKE FOR BRUNCH OR A SNACK

TIPS!
