CARDAMOM RICE PUDDING

easy | stovetop | five ingredients

3 REASONS TO MAKE THIS STOVETOP RICE PUDDING!

1. It's easy & light. 2. The pudding is made on the stovetop in just one pot. 3. Serve it with any toppings!

THE INGREDIENT LIST

- whole milk - white sugar - kosher salt

- cardamom - white rice - vanilla extract

01 MIX

Combine the milk, sugar, salt, cardamom, & rice to a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring often.

02 SIMMER

Simmer the rice pudding for 50-55 minutes until the rice is tender & the pudding is the consistency of yogurt. Stir often!

03 VANILLA

Remove the pudding from the stovetop. Add the vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste & stir until thoroughly combined. Cool.

TIP!

Cook the pudding low & slow. Otherwise, the rice will be crunchy and the pudding might burn! Low and slow will give you rich, creamy rice pudding.

CAN I USE OTHER SPICES?

Yes! If you don't have cardamom, try using cinnamon, nutmeg, or any other warm spice that you like. You can also use a mix of spices for deeper flavor!

SERVING IDEAS

I LOVE SERVING THIS PUDDING WITH MY EASY STRAWBERRY COMPOTE BUT IT'S GREAT WITH CARAMEL, FRESH FRUIT, TOASTED NUTS & SO MUCH MORE!

STORAGE TIPS

To store leftover cardamom rice pudding, let it cool completely. Pour into an airtight container & refrigerate for 3-4 days.
