EASY LEMONY CHARRED BROCCOLI

with parmesan & garlic

WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE THIS BROCCOLI

It's super easy to make. This broccoli is lemony, garlicky, & so flavorful! It goes with EVERYTHING. Make it for dinner parties or weeknights.

INGREDIENTS

- BROCCOLI - OLIVE OIL - GARLIC - RED PEPPER FLAKES - LEMON ZEST - LEMON JUICE - PARMESAN - KOSHER SALT - BLACK PEPPER

Slice the broccoli crowns into large 1-inch slices. Then, cut each slice into bite-sized pieces. You want them to be relatively flat.

Toss the broccoli with the olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper until the broccoli is well-coated.

Spread the broccoli cut-side down on the sheet pans. Roast at 425°F until the broccoli is tender and charred on the edges.

Drizzle the broccoli with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle the parmesan over the top. Bake  until the cheese is melted.

TIP!

Put the sheet pans in the oven while it's heating up. The hot sheet pans are key for perfectly caramelized broccoli!

SERVING IDEAS

Enjoy the burnt broccoli with steak or beef stew.

Serve with creamy lemon pasta or marry me chicken pasta.

Eat the broccoli with roast chicken. My fave!

CAN I USE FROZEN BROCCOLI?

I tried this recipe with frozen broccoli and it worked but the broccoli didn't get very crisp. For the most caramelized broccoli, use fresh!
