MALTED CHOCOLATE CAKE

with peanut butter frosting

WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE THIS CAKE

It's easy & one-bowl. The recipe is quick to make. This cake is great for parties & get-togethers! Chocolate and PB is a perfect combo.

INGREDIENTS

- SUGAR - BUTTERMILK - OIL - EGGS - FLOUR - MALTED MILK POWDER - COCOA POWDER - BAKING SODA & SALT - BUTTER - PEANUT BUTTER - POWDERED SUGAR - VANILLA - MILK

In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.

Add the flour, malted milk powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, & Kosher salt just until the batter is mixed.

Pour the chocolate cake batter into a greased pan. Bake at 350°F for about 30-35 minutes.

Cool the cake completely and release it from the pan.

To make the frosting, beat the butter & peanut butter. Add the powdered sugar, milk powder, vanilla, & milk until fluffy.

Once the cake is cooled, frost the cake with the fluffy peanut butter frosting. Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired. Enjoy!

DO I HAVE TO USE MALTED MILK POWDER?

Nope! You can use all-purpose flour in place of the milk powder in the cake. You can also use powdered sugar instead of malted milk powder in the frosting.
