RIDICULOUSLY GOOD COFFEE CRUMBLE ICE CREAM

with Biscoff cookies & almonds

LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS HOMEMADE ICE CREAM

It's full of coffee flavor! There's ice cream maker & no churn recipes. This recipe is made with REAL coffee. Make it for parties or summer get-togethers.

INGREDIENTS

- HEAVY CREAM - WHOLE MILK - SUGAR - COFFEE BEANS - KOSHER SALT - VANILLA & ALMOND EXTRACT - EGG YOLKS - ALMONDS - COOKIES

01

Whisk together the cream, milk, half of the sugar, the ground coffee, & the salt. Bring it to a gentle simmer, stirring often.

02

Whisk the egg yolks & the rest of the sugar until they're thick & pale yellow. Slowly add some of the cream mixture to temper the eggs. Whisk in the rest.

03

Add the custard to the pot and heat it over medium just until it's thickened and starts to bubble a little. Stir it the entire time!

The custard should coat the back of a spoon when it's ready.

04

Pour the coffee custard through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the coffee grounds. Discard. Then, chill the custard in an ice bath & refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours.

05

Churn the chilled custard in an ice cream maker according to the machine directions. Add the cookies & toasted almonds. Freeze for 2 hours & enjoy!

NO CHURN

No ice cream maker? No problem! With just a few easy ingredients & tools, you can make no-churn coffee crumble ice cream instead!
