CHEWY MOLASSES CRINKLE COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

- flour - baking soda - salt - ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, & cloves - butter - brown sugar - eggs - vanilla - molasses - raw sugar

01 MIX THE WET INGREDIENTS

1. Cream the butter and brown sugar until it's light & fluffy. 2. Add the egg and vanilla extract. 3. Then, mix in the molasses until smooth.

02 ADD THE DRY INGREDIENTS

1. Mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices. 2. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. 3. Stir just until the dough forms.

03 CHILL & ROLL

1. Cover the dough & chill it for at least 2 hours. 2. Scoop the dough with a #40 cookie scoop. 3. Roll the dough into balls.

04 BAKE THE COOKIES

1. Next, roll the cookie dough balls in raw sugar. 2. Place the cookies on a sheet pan & bake until set. 3. Cool & enjoy!

PRO TIP!

For super chewy cookies, chill the dough for at least 2 hours. Also, don't over-bake the cookies. They should look a little under-done in the centers!

WHAT MOLASSES SHOULD I USE IN THIS RECIPE?

For the best flavor and chewy texture, make sure you're looking for light unsulphured molasses. Not sulphured or blackstrap molasses!
