PRETZEL RICE KRISPIE TREATS

They're no bake. The bars have pretzels, chocolate, & brown butter. They're sweet, salty, nutty, and chocolatey!

- unsalted butter - mini marshmallows - vanilla extract - puffed rice cereal - mini pretzels - dark chocolate - flaky salt

S T E P 1

Start by melting the butter in a large pot. Bring it to a simmer, stirring often. After a few minutes, the butter will brown and smell caramelized.

S T E P 2

Next, add the marshmallows. Stir over medium-low heat until they're completely melted. Add the vanilla extract & stir to combine.

S T E P 3

Stir in the puffed rice cereal and pretzels until they're evenly coated. Quickly stir in the dark chocolate until combined.

S T E P 4

Press the pretzel cereal treat mixture into a buttered 8x8 pan. Garnish with more pretzels and flaky salt. Once set, slice & enjoy!

Place leftover pretzel cereal bars in an airtight container & store at room temp for 2-3 days. You can also freeze the Rice Krispie treats for up to 2 months!

CAN I MAKE THESE TREATS GLUTEN-FREE?

Yes! Just make sure to use gluten-free rice cereal, marshmallows, and pretzels.
