with brown butter icing

cozy & decadent

WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE THIS CAKE

It's simple & flavorful. The warm spices & brown butter are so good together! This cake is perfect for fall or winter holidays. It's great for a crowd!

INGREDIENTS

FLOUR SALT BAKING SODA CINNAMON GINGER CARDAMOM NUTMEG CLOVES BUTTER SUGAR BROWN SUGAR VANILLA EGGS SOUR CREAM POWDERED SUGAR MILK

01

Beat the butter, sugar, & brown sugar. Then, add the eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla extract. Mix well.

02

Add the flour, salt, baking soda, & spices. Mix just until the batter comes together. Pour the batter in a bundt pan & bake for 1 hour.

03

Brown the butter. Add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, & salt. Mix the glaze until it's smooth.

Pour the glaze over the cooled cake. Decorate as desired. Lastly, slice & serve!

PRO-TIP

To keep the bundt cake from breaking when it's released from the pan, I recommend using baking spray! With oil & flour, it helps the cake come out every time.

WHEN SHOULD I GLAZE THE CAKE?

Once the cake is completely cool, then it's ready to glaze! Don't glaze the cake while it's warm or it'll make it soggy.

SERVING IDEAS

Enjoy the cake with hot coffee or tea.

Serve the cake with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.

Drizzle the cake with homemade caramel.

STORING

To store leftovers, cover the cake with a cake dome or store in an airtight container. Let it sit at room temp for 3-4 days. You can also freeze the cake!
