In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, lemon zest, lemon juice, & vanilla. Use a rubber spatula to mix the filling until it's smooth.

S T E P 3

Brush the puff pastry with egg wash. Then, spread the cream cheese filling, leaving a 1/4-inch border. Add a few strawberries on top & bake until golden-brown.

Right when the pastries come out of the oven, brush the berries with melted apricot jam. Combine the powdered sugar & lemon juice to make glaze. Drizzle over the danish & enjoy!

Don't over-fill the puff pastry or the filling will over-flow. You only want to use about 1 Tablespoon of filling, leaving a 1/4-inch border.

RECIPE TIP

CAN I USE OTHER BERRIES?

DO I HAVE TO ADD GLAZE?

Nope! You have a couple of options: 1. Sprinkle the puff pastry with raw sugar before baking for a sugared crust. 2. Dust the danishes with powdered sugar after baking.
