FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE

without Jello!

WHY YOU'LL 🤍 THIS RECIPE!

- It has NO Jello or gelatin. - The filling is sweet & tart but never runny. - Make it with or without the crumble topping. - It's great for a crowd!

THE INGREDIENTS

- Pie dough - Eggs - Butter - Flour - Oats - White & brown sugar - Kosher salt - Strawberries - Cornstarch - Lemons - Vanilla extract

S T E P 1

Brown the butter. Add the flour, oats, sugar, brown sugar, & salt. Stir until you have a crumble mixture. Set aside.

Slice the berries. Add the sugar, cornstarch, lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

Roll the pie dough into a 9'' pie plate. Crimp the edges and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes. Brush with egg wash & add the strawberry pie filling.

Use your hands to break up the crumble. Top the pie evenly with the brown butter streusel. Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown.

Let the pie cool completely so the fresh strawberry filling sets. Slice and serve with ice cream or whipped cream!

RECIPE TIP!

Make sure to let the pie cool completely so the filling sets. To reheat the pie, microwave slices for about 30-60 seconds until warm.

CAN I MAKE THIS WITHOUT THE CRUMBLE TOPPING?

Yes! To make plain strawberry pie without gelatin, just leave out the streusel. It will still taste absolutely delicious!
