LOADED BBQ CHICKEN NACHOS

INGREDIENTS

- spices - salt & pepper - chicken - oil - chicken broth - BBQ sauce - crema - cilantro - limes - garlic - tortilla chips - cheese - beans - toppings of choice

01 BBQ CHICKEN

1. Season the chicken & sear until browned on both sides. 2. Add the spices, chicken broth, & water. Simmer until cooked. 3. Shred and toss with BBQ sauce.

02 CILANTRO LIME CREMA

1. Spoon the crema into a food processor. 2. Add the cilantro, lime juice & zest, garlic, & salt. 3. Blend until smooth.

03 ASSEMBLE THE NACHOS

1. Add a layer of tortilla chips on a sheet pan. 2. Add half of the cheese, beans, & BBQ chicken. 3. Add 1 more layer of chips, cheese, beans, & BBQ chicken.

04 BAKE & GARNISH

1. Bake the nachos until the cheese is hot and melted. 2. Top the nachos with pickled onions, chilis, avocado, & more. 3. Drizzle wtih cilantro lime crema. Enjoy!

PRO TIP!

Nachos should have layers! Make sure you have 2-3 layers on the sheet pan so every bite is full of melty cheese & toppings.

CAN I MAKE THE BBQ SHREDDED CHICKEN IN THE SLOW COOKER?

Yes! Just place the chicken in a slow cooker with spices & chicken broth. Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours & shred.

WHAT CHEESE IS BEST?

I like a mix of cheddar and jack cheese. But any melty cheese like pepper jack, Colby, white cheddar, & queso will work too.
