BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE

YOU'LL LOVE THIS BAKED FRENCH TOAST BECAUSE...

INGREDIENTS

- brioche - pecans - butter - brown sugar - maple syrup - salt - eggs - milk - vanilla - bourbon - cinnamon - cardamom

01 STICKY PECANS

1. Brown the butter. 2. Add the brown sugar, maple syrup, and salt. Simmer. 3. Then, add the pecans & stir until they're glazed.

02 THE CUSTARD

1. Whisk the eggs & milk. 2. Add the vanilla, bourbon, cinnamon, cardamom, & salt. 3. Dip each piece of bread in the custard.

03 ASSEMBLE & CHILL

1. Spread half the pecans in the bottom of the pan. 2. Add 2 rows of the soaked bread and top with the rest of the pecans. 3. Cover & chill overnight.

04 BAKE

1. In the morning, uncover the casserole dish. 2. Heat the oven to 350°F. 3. Bake the casserole for 40-45 minutes. Slice & enjoy!

PRO TIP!

The overnight brioche French toast casserole is done when the custard is set but still a bit wobbly in the center. If you bake it long enough, the casserole won't be soggy!
