INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED

- flour - cocoa - cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, & cloves - baking soda (optional)  & salt - brown sugar - butter - eggs - vanilla - molasses - powdered sugar - milk - oranges

01 MIX UP THE DOUGH

1. Whisk together the flour, cocoa, salt, & spices. 2. Beat the butter & sugar. Then, add the egg, vanilla, & molasses. 3. Mix the wet & dry ingredients until a stiff dough forms.

02 STAMP & BAKE

1. Scoop the dough into balls. 2. Firmly press the cookie stamps into each ball of dough. 3. Set the cookies on a sheet pan and bake just until they're done.

03 GLAZE & ENJOY!

7. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and zest of 1 orange. 8. Dip the cooled cookies in the glaze and let them harden. Enjoy!

PRO TIP!

For extra soft cookies, add 1/2 tsp. of baking soda. The stamps won't be as pronounced but they will be a bit more cake-y.

FREEZER FRIENDLY!

These cookies are so easy to freeze! Just place the cooled, unglazed cookies in a freezer bag. When you're ready to enjoy the cookies, let them defrost and dip them in the glaze.

If you don't have cookie stamps, you can just use the bottom of a flat glass to 'stamp' the cookies.
