Mix the milk, sugar, yeast, butter, vanilla, egg, salt, & flour in a bowl. Knead & let it rise until doubled.Divide the dough & roll into four circles.
Mix the cookie butter & cinnamon for the filling.Spread the filling on one round of dough. Repeat, stacking the dough until you have four layers of dough.
Grab 2 adjacent strips of dough with each hand. Twist the strips two times in the opposite direction.Press the ends together to make a point & seal well.

A MAKE-AHEAD OPTION!
To make cookie butter cinnamon star bread in advance, shape the bread, wrap it well, & place it in the fridge overnight. In the morning, let it warm for 20 minutes & bake.
Serve cookie butter cinnamon star bread with hot coffee, tea, eggnog, Irish coffee, or white Russians. My favorite is a cup of hot coffee!
