WHY YOU SHOULD THROW AN OKTOBERFEST PARTY AT HOME

- It's a  great way to get friends and family together. - They're fun & casual. - It's the perfect way to celebrate & kick off autumn!

THROW YOUR OKTOBERFEST PARTY...

- IN YOUR BACK YARD (IF THE WEATHER IS WARM ENOUGH!) - ON YOUR DECK OR PATIO - INSIDE IF IT'S CHILLY OR YOU DON'T HAVE AN OUTDOOR SPACE

THE BEER

For a true Oktoberfest party, you will need authentic Munich beer! Here are a few they serve at the real Oktoberfest: - Augustiner - Hacker-Pschorr - Hofbräu - Löwenbräu

CREATE A BIERGARTEN

For the Oktoberfest vibe, create a 'biergarten' in your backyard. Make sure to have plenty of seating & tables for people to enjoy their beer.

THE MENU

Now is the time to make all the German food! Try soft pretzels, a charcuterie board, bee sting cake, bratwursts, & more!

DECORATION IDEAS

I recommend creating a theme based on your favorite Oktoberfest tent! This tablescape was inspired by the Paulaner tent at Oktoberfest!

THE MUSIC

It's not Oktoberfest without music! For the ultimate vibes, use a playlist with folk music, American rock, & modern German hits.

WHAT TO WEAR

If you want to dress traditionally, wear a dirndl or lederhosen! If you don't have those outfits, you can also do a German-inspired outfit like I did.

PARTY SUPPLIES

You will need beer steins, bottle openers, plates, napkins, silverware, & lots of ice. You can keep the party as elegant or casual as you want!
