CHEESY PESTO STUFFED GARLIC BREAD

simple to make & full of flavor!

WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE THIS BREAD

It takes 5 minutes to prep. It's crispy on the edges and soft in the center. Serve it with soup, steak, salad, & more! Make this for dinner parties or get-togethers.

INGREDIENTS

- CRUSTY BREAD - PESTO (STORE-BOUGHT OR HOMEMADE) - UNSALTED BUTTER - FRESH GARLIC - SHREDDED MOZZARELLA - SHREDDED PARMESAN - KOSHER SALT - FRESHLY-GROUND BLACK PEPPER

01

First, slice the brad in half horizontally. Then, cut the bread into thick slices leaving the bottom 1/2-inch uncut.

02

In a small bowl, mix together the pesto, unsalted butter, fresh garlic, Kosher salt, and ground black pepper until smooth.

03

Using a small rubber spatula, spread the pesto filling in-between the bread slices. Spread the rest on top of the bread.

04

Sprinkle the bread evenly with the mozzarella and parmesan. Bake the bread until the cheese is melted & bubbly. Slice & enjoy!

TIP!

For softer garlic bread, 'sandwich' the bread halves cheese-side together. Wrap the bread in tin foil & bake until the bread is hot & cheese is melty.

SERVING IDEAS

Enjoy the bread with soup or Caesar salad.

Eat the bread with steak, pot roast, beef bourguignon, & more!

Make this recipe into French bread pizzas.

WHAT IS THE BEST BREAD FOR THIS RECIPE?

That totally depends on what you like! My personal favorite is a crusty Italian loaf. But feel free to use sourdough, French bread, & more.
