1. Lightly crush the cinnamon sticks & cardamom pods.2. Place all of the spices in the middle of a square of cheesecloth.3. Tie with kitchen twine to secure the spice bag.
1. Mix the wine, bourbon, sugar, vanilla, spices, almonds, & cranberries in a pot.2. Heat & cook until steamy.3. Taste & add more sugar if you like a sweeter cocktail.
1. Remove the mulled wine from the heat.2. Steep for at least 1 hour and up to 4 hours.3. Gently reheat the gløgg on the stove. Ladle into mugs and enjoy!
To make Norwegian gløgg in a slow cooker, just combine everything in the pot. Set to LOW and cook until it's steaming. Turn off the slow cooker, steep, & re-warm!
After you steep the mulled wine, let it cool. Refrigerate & gently reheat on the stove or slow cooker when you're ready to enjoy!
