5-INGREDIENT VANILLA COFFEE BUTTERCREAM

It's fluffy & creamy. This recipe has the perfect amount of c0ffee flavor! You can use it on all kinds of cakes and cupcakes. It has just 5 ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

ALL YOU NEED TO MAKE COFFEE FROSTING IS 5 SIMPLE INGREDIENTS!  - UNSALTED BUTTER - POWDERED SUGAR - WHOLE MILK - VANILLA BEAN PASTE - INSTANT COFFEE PLUS A PINCH OF SALT!

Mix the softened butter and powdered sugar. Beat with a mixer until the frosting is thick and completely combined.

Add the milk, vanilla bean paste, coffee powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix everything together until the frosting is combined.

Turn the mixer to high and whip the buttercream until it's fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add another splash of milk if it's too thick.

Spoon the coffee frosting into a piping bag and use it to pipe cupcakes or cookies.

Or, use an offset spatula to frost a cake. Easy and delicious!

TIP!

If you want the frosting to look more brown, add just 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder. It will deepen the coffee flavor & make the frosting darker.

The secret to coffee frosting? Instant coffee! AKA coffee powder. This will add an intense pop of coffee flavor without making the frosting too runny or thin.

On vanilla, chocolate, or coffee cupcakes.

Layered with cardamom or cinnamon cake.

On top of brownies or chocolate cookies.
