Sunday Table

Editorial Policy

At Sunday Table, my goal is to inspire you to find a love of cooking and entertaining through cozy, modern, and made-from-scratch small bites and mini desserts! Because as much as I love entertaining, I am over basic tortilla pinwheels and the same old dips (I’m looking at you, seven layer).

From crostini and dips to puff pastry appetizers and mini desserts, every recipe I create is meant to be elevated, ridiculously flavorful, and simple to make. Whether you’re throwing a dinner party with friends or heading to your family’s annual Christmas party, my recipes are an amazing plus one to any get-together.

Every once in a while, you might find a recipe that’s a bit more complicated or has harder-to-find ingredients. In these cases, I do my very best to offer substitutions and break down the recipes with easy-to-understand directions and photos.

Many years ago, I went to a culinary and pastry school where I learned all of the cooking and baking techniques that I use in my recipes as a home cook. I’m so excited to share this knowledge and help you learn forever recipes that you can pass down for years to come!

Recipes

I test every single recipe on this site multiple times before I share it with you all. I am obsessed with getting things right and only share recipes that I actually make in my own home for my own friends and family. Some recipes are created 100% from scratch and some are inspired by old family recipes.

Either way, I test them with multiple flavor combos and multiple cooking methods to make sure they’re blog-ready. Sometimes this means testing them dozens of times. (Seriously, ask my husband’s coworkers how many variations of mini chocolate chip cookies they taste-tested lol.)

I do not allow my recipes to be posted on social media, other blogs, or websites without written permission. If you would like to share one of my recipes, please get in touch or direct people to find the recipe on my website with the proper link.

Photography

I am a huge fan of photography, so every picture on this site is styled and photographed by me in my home studio. It’s one of the best parts of my job (aside from all the cookies, of course). I use a Canon 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm lens or a 100mm lens.

If you want to share a recipe from my site in an listicle or article, feel free to use one (1) photo. Please use photographer credit (Sara Lynn Hunt-Broka) and link it back to my website.

Comment Policy

Reading your comments seriously makes my day! (No literally, they make me cry happy tears.) Nothing makes me happier than knowing my recipes are becoming traditions in your family and friend groups. I so appreciate any nice words you have to say!

I am also open to hearing constructive feedback if you tried a recipe and you weren’t a huge fan. We all have different tastes and it happens! If you leave a negative review and it’s respectful, helpful, and considerate, I will always approve and reply to the comment. I will also do my best to help troubleshoot any issues in a timely manner.

However, I have a firm boundary against comments that are rude, malicious, irrelevant, disrespectful, or spiteful. I do not and will not tolerate these comments. I reserve the right to remove any comments that violate this policy.

Star Ratings

Star ratings are the #1 way you can support Sunday Table (and any blog for that matter)! I love when you leave 5-star reviews but of course, I am always open to hearing feedback on reviews that are less than 5-stars. This helps other readers know if a recipe is worth making or not.

According to new Google policies, all star reviews must include a comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback on my recipes!

Errors, typos, & mistakes

Sunday Table is a 100% one-woman show meaning that I do everything from grocery shopping to hitting ‘publish’. This also means I make mistakes from time to time. (Listen, I’m just a girl, ok?!)

If you do see a typo like a missing ingredient or cook time, please leave a comment or send me an email. I promise to fix it as soon as I see it!

Guests Posts

At this time, I do not accept guests posts on my site. Please do not send me emails or messages about guest posting. All guest posting inquiries will immediately be deleted.
